There should be random wear pajamas to show school spirit days.......
Still no word from the college board about the sample syllabus I sent in... dont know if that is a good or bad thing. It could be a good thing that it is ok and the people on the other end are too busy to get back to me, or could be a bad thing that it is so horribly beyond redemption that there is no reason to get back to me because they are not going to use the syllabus at all.. :(
Note to self: energy drinks when you are so over tired that you are actually awake just make you even more hyper... Although I am oddly focused.... 0.0
To the java students who read this - sorry to go totally teacher on you, but you have to admit it was starting to get a little ridiculous... I can't even hear myself think!!! and I can only imagine how much we disturb the other classes around us.

tired.... recursive program assignments.... chapter 7 - horray!! only 6 more to go...
(plus I think I might get an extension)... Going to formalize wordings for chapters 5 -7 programs tomorrow while CS1 takes their test... Note to self: double check test in morning and photocopy it.... Add some easy questions.... :)
RB - too tired and distracted to wage any more war... Truce.... or should I not help you find things in the morning?

ggrrr... didnt get entire chapter done (almost) but I have a 16 hour day tomorrow (teach night class) and need sleep!!!!
I am most of the way through chapter 6... need maybe two more assignments...
Oh well - I am sure you dont want to read about this anymore, but since its MY blog and this is the major thing in MY life right now... I dont think I ever explained how important this is... I am one of 5 teachers from around the world that is writing a curriculum for the collgeboard for AP Computer Science. Basically what I write will be given to every teacher in the world (and yes they teach this outside the US) who is teaching AP CS... with my name on it... now you know why I want it to be good...

Oh No!! Shanley hit the wrong button on his computer and resorted the places from the recent cross country meet alphabetically. He needs them resorted according to their places. Download the cross country program from the share folder and write ShanleySort according to the specifications in the file.

On to ArrayList assignments tonight....Thank you to all the people who answered the survey about what do you keep lists of... Mrs. Healy wins the prize though - I am going to develop a whole series of assignments based on her contribution of checks (indexed by check number of course) !!! :) :)
Hmmm. Since this is an AB curriculum should it just be arraylist or all possibl collection class algorithms... hmm..
btw - so easy to focus after dispelling some agressions at the gym :) crunch... Think of ways to integrate more tollbooth for a certain ap/java student.... crunch.... make rb do green usaco problems.... crunch.... (I am sure you get the idea)....

Counting Sheep (program assignment)
Joe Farmer is having trouble sleeping and wants to count sheep. Write a program that asks Joe (via a JOptionPane) how many sheep he wishes to count. Display the sheep randomly around the screen numbered so Joe can count them. See the sheep class provided as part of this program :)

hmmm.. Trying to think of interesting looping assignments.....
Anyway - I am probably buying a new laptop... For those of you who know me you know that my current one is horrible.... Yeah!! can actually do real flash stuff without completely screwing up everything...
I need to calm myself down a little.. by the end of the day I am so hyper... I think tonight my goal is to do all the programs for the looping chapter for the syllabus... Hope that it works out ok. This is an important thing to me and I really want it to go well...
Ah well, enough distracting myself...Back to work I guess.

Yeah!! All sanding done! And the office looks absolutely gorgeous. Post some pictures eventualy... hmmmm..... *goes and looks for end of todo list, flips page,...flips more pages.....Ah here we are item infinity+1.....*
btw, I love sunday mornings.... Music on the radio (some obsure cd from my collection that my husband wont listen to), quiet in the house, some chores to get done....at my own pace.... sunday is Firehouse morning :)
Well I might be on my way through chapter 3 of the curriculum.... 1 and 2 are done HORRAY! goes to write down - have students draw object maps from code..... :) hmm need good symbol for inherited vs uses... blueJ uses lines and dotted lines? maybe.
had dinner with some good friends last night, I miss them - havent seen them in a while. Was the best man from the wedding, and some newer friends I made - a fireman from the fire house, and his girlfriend (who will eventually be his wife)... The grew up in the same area I did... *smiles* might go shoe shopping for a little bit this afternoon... (need work shoes)
Note to self: need something to wear Friday night (birthday celebration in the city....)
Should really go back to work, to gym, to store, dinner with relatives, ggggrrrrr anyone have a device to stop time for a few hours so I can get all of this done?
