Parent Teacher Conferences
Aside from the fact that I must actually dress like a teacher.. (ggrr - uncomfortable grrr) I normally don't have conferences that are that bad. Occaisionally I have to do the.... Is not working consistantly..etc. but mostly I get to give positive comments to parents...

omg.. This morning in class a student was reading the Dr. Seuss help desk post (below) he decided that it would make a good rap. Another student provided backup and it was the most hilarious thing I have ever seen. Be prepared!! I have reserved the video camera for second period on Monday and we are going to put this to tape!!

and your data is corrupted cause the index doesn't hash,
then your situation's hopeless and your system's gonna crash!!
If the label on the cable on the table at your house
says the network is connected to the button on your mouse,
but your packets want to tunnel to another protocol,
that's repeatedly rejected by the printer down the hall,
and your screen is all distorted by the side effects of gauss,
so your icons in the window are as wavy as a souse;
then you may as well reboot and go out with a bang,
'cuz sure as I'm a poet, the sucker's gonna hang!
When the copy of your floppy's getting sloppy in the disk,
and the macro code instructions cause unnecessary risk,
then you'll have to flash the memory and you'll want to RAM your ROM.
Quickly turn off the computer and be sure to tell your Mom!

So hard to work
Its so hard to actually accomplish anything when the other person in the house is grumpy/sick and just wants to spend quality time... I am not ignoring you at this moment, I just have work that needs to be done and since we have a busy weekend planned wouldnt you rather I get it done now?

End of a stressful time
Isnt it amazing that when you are completely stressed out you can get like 8 hours of sleep and still be totally exausted and sleep deprived, but once that stress if over 6 1/2 hours of sleep will do perfectly fine?

Keep the drugs warm
What an interesting ambulance corps meeting. Cannot relay most of the details myself (in danger of being list-worthy) however can share this...
During the captians report our captain stated that at some point within the last couple of weeks she had come to the building at like 12:30 - 1 am only to find the ambulance outside because someone was using the bay to fix a car. She then goes on to say that the bus must be kept warm to keep the drugs warm. As acting secretary for the meeting I was in that stage where you are just writing like crazy and not really paying attention to what is said... until that... (Apparently there are certain medications we keep on the ambulance that once frozen are no longer any good....)

Almost Done
Yeah!! Syllabus almost done. Just need to match the last 3 chapters to the textbooks (maybe 15-20 minutes worth of work) and pace out the last 4 chapters with number of weeks (another 15 minutes..) *dances around room*
Horray!! Can now refocus on other things - mainly grading, writing midterms, writing interim reports, ...
grrrr - is infinity-1 any shorter of a number for the last thing on the to do list than infinity?

omg... did not do two chapters a day and therefore back into panic/post procrastination mode.... Syllabus due (for real) on tuesday and also interim reports this week..
grr - still searching for that device that will stop all time but still allow me to move through space...(maybe if we modified the microwave gun?)
and btw - yes I am complaining about not enough time, but still taking the time to blog..
