Snow, Sleep, and other ramblings

Last night was the perfect ammount of snow (we got less than an inch). Just enough to cover everything and make it pritty again after the rain washed it all away. Although from the clouds and stuff it looks like its not quite finished. :) I love snow.

On another note, I swear my husband must have an alarm clock at work that says - "Time to wake up the wife!", you know that she is most likely sound asleep, but lets call home anyway and remind her of something completely trivial that has to be done. grrr

I actually got a lot of stuff done these two weeks. Aside from indulging in some much needed days off I finished the final tweakings to the syllabus. If I feel ambitious today I will change the CS2 page over from the C++ version to the new Java one. oo...note to self: write some lesson plans for ALL classes. - map out rest of year for AP class... (hopefully we will finish just in time) Have to finish setting up NYU pages for spring course... must check on enrollment.

*****Note to all compsci students who read this*********
AP Students - dont forget to do your case study reading and the take home test!!!!!

Other random programming people - Next USACO is friday! (only 3 hours this time) will run from 2:30 - 5:30 in my room. Only minor munchis provided this time - anyone want to bring anything in particular feel free.

That means - robotics club... no meeting friday. Want to meet with officers and project leaders one day this week so we can set up some timelines and deadlines. I need to mail our registration fee and start researching hotel and transportation costs...We need to buckle down and do some serious work!! (ps - does anyone who went last year remember the name of the hotel that was right outside the gate to RPI? it would help us a lot if we didnt have to take taxis everywhere...)

All Nighter...

I am working on the ambulance all night tonight. Starting my New Years readjustment early. This way I will stay up late tonight, sleep (sheep?) late tomorrow and be good for tomorrow night... (no falling asleep on the couch before the ball drops)

So much this weekend. Met the father-in-law's new girlfriend. Cant describe her in any way but exuberant. I dont know if she was just trying real hard to be likable... (second time she met the son, first time with the daughter in law) or she is really that energetic. She seemed really nice, I just tend to be wary of people who are over-enthusiastic... Sometimes it seems almost fake.

Celes - mailed your recommendation today... :) I remembered!!

We went shopping in the city - bought some new pants and a new belt for tomorrow night.. Found really good stuff. Now I know next time I need a good dress where to go look. I love sales.

Today was actually spent mostly at school. Went in this morning to finish up some grading and get some work done. Have I mentioned how much I HATE NYU's grading system? Well, at least its done now. Must think of a way to make it easier on myself next semester.

Ah well... Off in search of someone to play go...
