I love conferences
So I met the author of the book I am going to be writing the teachers guide to, and he and his buddy tried to recruit me to leave teaching at FL and come and work with them in their university. I have to admit I was briefly tempted when they offered to pay for my doctoral degree...
I went to quite a few good sessions today. Some it was just like YES!! this is exactly what I need to do with my classes!!! Expect some major changes to grading/curriculum when I get back! The people who have been bored are going to get things to do, while those who have been struggling - I think I have found a partial solution!
Anyway - I also hoarded free stuff today from venders. Got 4 cool little microsoft frisbee type things that fold up, and a bunch of other cool things too. Even got a new book autographed by the author!
Anyway - enough for now - off to try and make sense of all this info along with some other tasks...

Yesterday was awesome... Had such a great day. Actually got to meet and talk to the guy who wrote blueJ. Very Cool..

4:25 - Living Flow Charts
4:50 - Java Collections

Suitcase FINALLY got here
The airport had left my suitcase in Denver and it didnt show up until midnight (reno time) which ment 3am NY time... ggrr... Tired tired tired... and I left sleep at school....
going to go work out and stretch.. Its amazing how much you body tightens up when you fly for 6 hours...I feel like someone beat me with a bat. Jet Lag sucks...

Trying to be a good wife is very hard sometimes
I just braved the wonderful winter weather to bring my husband and about 6 other guys. He is completely blowing off the fact that I am upset that I am not going to get to go to my conference .... (when if it was his trip he would be going nuts) and he couldnt even acknowledge the fact that I brought him dinner (through the cold and snow)...
