Oh what a beautiful morning...
Its days like today that remind me how gorgeous it is outside... I miss being a kid again and getting to run and jump around just 'cause you felt like it.. (I guess I could go for a good run rather than go to the gym..)

Robotics
Ordered range finding sensors... Still waiting for the info to arrive about the diameter of the motor... sumo bot on the way!!
Also.. Good work to dan and the mousebot people - we are making definate progress... Ordering chips etc. (including small soderable boards) probably tomorrow - should be delivered before too much longer.
And finally - I think luner robot is getting started... I think we need to shoot for moderate torque, but with low/med RPM... we cant run the RPM too high otherwise the wheels will probably just spin out from under us.. I know that the actual frame will not take a lot of man hours to build, but I just worry about once we get all the circutry and components putting them together in a reasonable fashion, combined with adequate testing is what is going to take monster time...

Torque
Apparently torque is a measure of something.. and actually has units and all.. and is somehow related to horsepower.. but no engineer will ever divulge how much torque is needed for an approx. 30lb (max) robot... ::sigh::
Horray (for those of you who dont know) we built a working gaussmeter.. (insert feeling of acomplishment here) and slowly robots are emerging...(yes I will order the light sensors tonight - I hope you guys are sure they will work with an orange and grey ring - Lazy RIT doesnt want to repaint hockey floor...
I wonder if we are actually going to get a delay tomorrow... Would be nice... Anyway..
Time to go back to work and stop distracting myself...

Sometimes I think I get more work done when no one else is home... I had good music in the stereo.. now hubby has taken over.. Still good music, just not working music.. putting me to sleep...

Its all greek to me
Ok, went online to try and start to make reservations for my trip to Greece, but unfortunatelly ITS ALL IN GREEK!! Literally..
Anyway, also trying to book the flight - its cheaper for me to book a flight to Rome and then a second flight to greece than it is to try and find the flight (even w/ connections)... Hubby might be coming with so I may end up spending some time in Rome with him and his cousins as well. Oh well..
...I have a monkey... his name is trav... :) (hung the lamps)

Shopping... ::sigh:: actually it wasnt the shopping that improved my mood, but instead the fact that I wandered around for a good 2 hours with no purpose, destination, or thought of work. :) much needed.. have to visit home sometime soon..
