Warning - Read at your own risk

I am so fucking pissed off at Rich (hubby for those that dont know). I admit I am not the perfect wife. I do not clean house with a smile on my face, nor do I bake cookies, or cook much of anything. But I try my best. Sometimes I think I never should have moved in with anyone, let alone got married. There are just some things that are easier to deal with if your place is your place. For example, when you do your own laundry - its your fault if you dont have clean clothes. No one else can blame you (even if you do three loads of laundry a week in between working on other things) for them not having enough clothes. And you know what? I may do laundry, but the fact that it gets folded is a step up from what used to happen. Clean laundry used to just sit in the basket, unfolded. (which is exactly how he leaves it should he happen to do laundry btw) I lay the shirts over the top of the basket (of folded clothes mind you) so that they do not get wrinkled. I am not his mom so he can fucking damn well hang up his own clothes, but no, apparently that is still MY responsibility.

He knew that this was me long before he married me, hell we even lived together for 6 months before he proposed. He should have known that this was NOT going to be like his parents. His mom used to happily (ok, maybe not happily, but very thouroughly) clean the house every weekend - down to mopping the floors and vacumming, and everything. She would do dishes every night and leave his clothes neatly folded on his bed (with his shirts on hangers). Excuse me for not being suzy homemaker.

And then - when after he complained (this all started with him saying - dear could you put in a load of laundry @ 10:30 at night, and I said I would do it tomorrow - I always clean on sunday mornings while he is at firehouse - and he said but I have no clean sweaters, and I said yes you do, they are folded in the basket ggrrrr...) so, being the good little wife that I am I went to put in laundry - he gets pissed off at me. Said I was giving him attitude. He came upstairs (I am sorting laundry to go in to basket) and said "you know - you said you were going to empty that suitcase a week ago" and I said "yes dear, I will do it as soon as I am done with this laundry" and then he got pissed at me... ::sigh:: apparently I must do chores while whistling the tune from snow fucking white while I work.

I work my ass off. In addition to the many things that I do I manage to cook at least once or twice a week and also deal with the fucking fire house and all the shit that goes along with it. I am home alone many nights and you know what? After school all day, then grading papers or doing work on the textbook at night I dont feel like cleaning. And on weekends I really do prefer to just relax, but I still clean up the basic parts of the house anyway. I have NEVER asked him to do something extra. I have never done anything but be sure to say that what he is doing is good. Apparently whatever I do is not enough. ever. about anything. There is always a comment from him about something more that could have been done.

I give up. Charlie - I owe you two hot dogs and curlie fries from walters (with a milkshake)
