Well reading part of the day is done. This afternoon they finally put me back on foreward reading - so here are my totals for the day - 15 packs back read and 8 packs forward read.
Word of the Day: Mattiod - person on borderline between sanity and insanity...

More to come later - off for a walk..

Day 3
ok - first need to catch up on some stuff from yesterday :
Word of the day: pococurante - Indifferent or nonchallant
Secondly I found this poem in the back of a book and thought its awsome.. I am sure some of you will agree..
A girl must be a dull thing
At least from what I've heard
A girl has just two choices,
Be a model or a nerd?!
I'm wise as well as gorgeous,
I've talent and a heart.
Others say that I must choose,
Be pretty or be smart?!
Then I'll be there exception!
The one who breaks the mold!
This girl is her own person,
So I'll never do whats told!

Ok - on to today -
Word of the Day: gauleiter - overbearing weilder of petty authority.
Today was kinda cool... I spent 3 hours tonight teaching teachers about teaching with object draw and showing off a little of my phase I phase II assignments. People thought it was really cool and its a good indication of how much when I was only supposed to be there for two hours and ended up doing it for 3! Thank you for the code.. it made all the difference!
Also - reading count - read two regular packs today and backread another 10. :) onward and upward. I am exausted.. sleep the sheep is definately coming with me tomorrow. Night All..

Day 2
Started to ramp up to speed today. Graded 10 packets (25 tests per pack - you do the math). That number is going to go up a lot over the course of the week though. Because I read so fast the leaders wanted to "backread" one of the packs I did so that they could make sure that I didnt do something consistantly wrong - that would mean a lot of changes that would have to be fixed in things that were already graded. So after lunch Janet (one of my leaders) had me take a walk, and try not to grade for a while until she went through one of my packs.. it took her like an hour to actually get through it (other people kept asking her questions) but she eventually figured out that I was all good. (I even found some errors with the other leader's solutions) :)
So hopefully tomorrow I will get a chance to work at full speed all day and therefore get a good count for you. Last year at the end I was reading about 16 - 20 packs a day.. lets see if I can get to that speed again (just so you know the average reader does about 8 packs a day if they are decent).
I dont have th word of the day for you right now - I wrote it down, but left the piece of paper in the grading room - will post it with tomorrows word tomorrow.. I did however find a really cool poem in the back of one of the books. I copied it down and will post it here. The person (girl) was apparently done early and wrote some extra comments to the grader. I also found a book that had pictures of fish drawn on every page.. and it had little signs talking about muffins.. and even had a sheep on one page.. was that someones? (I dont see names)
Anyway - thats enough for tonight - need sleep.. went out and did the "circuit" at clemson with a grad.. she knew all the local spots.. :)
