Busy Week

Ok, for those of you who dont know the robotics club made over $100 last night at the soccer game. Even though these games and stuff can sometimes be annoying, they actually do end up being profitable in the long run. Although I am starting to get annoyed at some of the members who are not pulling thier weight - OK I understand if you cannot stay for the whole game, but come help setup.. or clean up.. or even clean my room up - there is tons of stuff there that needs to be straightened up.

Today was robotics sorta meeting since a few people were missing, but its ok - we ended up going through some circuits with the newbies and took a look at what working on Mousebot would be like. next friday I will not be in school - we need need need need need need need need need need need need need to get the sponsor and thank you letters sent out. Also - remind everyone you see to get a bowlathon sheet and sponsors signed up!!!!

Now that the random announcements are done - school was busy today - even though I was giving mostly tests and quizzes. Its been a busy week with the concert, meeting @ nyu and then the game the other night. I think I am going to make it my mission this weekend (in addition to grading the vast pile of papers) to also get some extra sleep.

Networking...the people kind

Last night was a book fair at New York University and I got to meet the editor of the book that I wrote the supplement for. Had a nice conversation with him and got some new ideas, he also gave me some information about the review book I proposed and seemed kindof uninterested.

Anyway got to talk to Josh for a little bit - he walked over to say hello since I was in his neck of the woods, and then had dinner with my sister (yummy leftovers for lunch).

Have a variety of work to do today - I think this morning is going to be all about writing a math quiz and revamping my to do lists for this afternoon.

Irish Music and a Museum

Went to see my favorite irish band both friday and sat. nights. Does that mean I qualify as a groupie? I hope so. They were all quite amused that I had been sharing music with you guys and wanted to encourage you to support the band by buying the cd's. I agree that you should be able to burn and share music as you see fit, but these guys do this for a side job - they are not making millions and a $10 cd here and there means a lot to them. They play with such energy - for those of you who enjoy their music I wish you could see them. They played some counting crows, some aerosmith, and a variety of other music as well as their own. Very cool.

Also went to the museum of natural history yesterday with Will, Jamie and Mia. Finally got to meet Jamie (the originator of llama). She is cool and fun - glad they let me tag along with them. Its been a while since I have been to the natural history museum. We then wandered to times square as I was heading to the subway to go home. They changed the pork chop sign! it no longer says "the world is my pork chop" not its "go ahead-make my pork chop"... thats new york for you - always changing.
