Good Morning
I went and checked out the artwork for the robotics shirts - they are going to come out really nice... They should be done by the end of the week, that means that you need to bring me $10 if you got one the week after next.
relative relationships of inlaws Ok, met the new "significant others" of hubby's parents this past week. Dad's SI is a very nice, very exerberant woman.. and he is now engaged to her so they are making all kinds of plans. Mom's is another story. Ex-career-Navy.. he has that whole southern gentleman thing - but boy is he REPUBLICAN!! He makes her happy and thats what is important.. but still.. ugh..
anyway.. off to ems for the day. Then driving to the cape for the weekend with my sister to visit my mom. I am going to need a vacation from this vacation..

bits and pieces
Ok, so I am back in NY and its COLD!! Have a nice tan to show for my time down south, but cmon - the warm weather couldnt have stayed a little longer?
Anyway.. have a whole list of things to blog about, but I will start w/ last night and then work backwards in time over the next couple of days. I am just unwinding a little before going to bed tonight... Last night was soooo much fun.. Went to an old haunt.. used to go there a lot when I lived in FL. Its a piano bar called howl at the moon its a great place to go with friends (we brought some with us). Two dualing pianos and lots of good requests make for a good night. Also, if you tip the piano players enough they will make a mockery out of anyone you want...probably their most tame bit is where they bring up a guy and do elton john's "your always a woman to me" except with a slight word change so that its "When you dressed like a woman for me" and during the course of the song the waitresses dress up the guy like a girl, wig and all..
Had dinner with rich's grandparents before that (remember I am working back in time). They are probably not gonig to be with us too much longer. Very sad thing to say, but rich and I should make a point of visiting them more often... Spent the afternoon at the mall (got a new bathing suit) spent the morning at the beach.. (oh and zoro got a haircut...)
I think thats enough for tonight.. Will blog some more details and commentary over the next day or so.

Beautiful sun
I love the beaches in florida.. Beautiful white sand and you can walk out until you are in water to your shoulders and look down and still see your feet.
But on another note.. had an interesting thing happen to me today. I was on my way home from the beach and went to a bookstore to get a good book to read tomorrow morning while I was there (its sacreligeous to work on the beach) and while I was looking through the scifi books for anything good some random guy walked over to me and said "scifi? girls dont read scifi" now granted I wasnt wearing my geek girl badge having just come from the beach, but still... I responded "this girl does" and he walked away shaking his head.. Theres something for a comic..

Ok, now I am here the drive was absolutely aweful, but kinda worth it. The weather is absolutely gorgeous.. going to the beach tomorrow.. spent some time in the sun tonight. I took today off of work - but will have to start doing some very serious work work tomorrow...
Just letting everyone know I am safe and here.. longer blog tomorrow..
