Booty
Got some really cool stuff from the street fair.. A couple of cute shirts, some glass bowls (japanese rice bowls to go with the ones I have) a TShirt for jon.. :) good stuff.
And yes I have been working on Lynda's laptop, but no its not fixed yet - she needs a new hard drive..

its amazing how a shower and a clean pair of clothes... can change your outlook on the day. I am feeling soo much better than I did when I got up. Still sad by the fact that summer is over - its been such a great one! I cant wait for school to start though - total conflicting feelings..
Going to go wander a street fair in the city today. Brigid is coming with me.. trying to get Lynda too - maybe meet up with you if you ever answer your cell..

Just got back from hopefully the last call of the evening. (or should I say morning). Its now about 5 am and I am going to go crash hard core. see his blog sometime in the next few days for a recap of one hell of a long shift.

random oddities
first of all you hit a deer????? ::sigh::
secondly today was a mix of not too bad, fun, and ugh.. As of this morning I have a dishwasher again!! horray! repairman came and fixed for us - very nice of him, especially since its under warrenty and this has only taken 2 months! lol
then went for lunch/random drive with you and am completely amused at your amusement with my car.. :p
Then turned in grant materials - horray! Dr. Alloy wants me to upload to my website so that he can forward to other members of the committee (yeah!) and apparently its all good - dont need to do any more work (phew!)
Then went to a closing to refinance our house - going to cost us $300 less a month - YEAH! But the bank screwed up and sent the wrong papers and we had to call and have them resent, and then they were wrong again.. so 2 hours later.. finally get home..
Anyway - doing the overnight tonight.. will be around if you want to im me

Nice day
Got back into work mode last night, finished up some projects that needed it and took a look at what else I should try and accomplish this summer. I guess thats a good thing.
Have also made a resolution to finish up the books I currently have going so I am going to go read a little this morning. At some point I should probably go up to FL - anybody want to have lunch with me tomorrow? Send me and im or email and we will set it up while I am in bedford. Since it is such a nice day I am going to sit outside for an hour and let my fading tan remember the sun...

Weekending and coming back to realize summer is almost over
This weekend was nice, Rich and I went away for our anniversary (3 years). Relaxed a little, etc.
Came home to find my summer's almost over letter from work and cant believe it went by this quick. Its been a crazy summer in a variety of ways. I have made some new friends, re-established some ties with old ones, and generally overall while I did do a bunch of work (not as much as I would have liked - but thats other peoples faults for not getting back to me, and I still have two weeks left), but basically had a life this summer. It was awesome. I have added some good friends to my life and I hope that they stay that way after everyone scatters when the summer is over.
I agree with you that the end of things are hard, but we all end up growing in some way from the experience - and just think for a variety of you who read this - if not for certain endings in the past I would not have moved into the realm of friend from teacher. I hope that over the next year you guys feel like you can talk to me about anything (being I have been there before) and no.. I wont go all teacher-y on you about certain things - but realize that as a person I have my own opinions about certain issues and as a friend I will share them with you. ::hugs:: to the people who are leaving and that comes with an insistance that you stay in touch. Feel free to say hello to me when you see me online - I have this "thing" about being the clingy ex teacher so for a while I probably will refrain from IM-ing you first.. I am sure you will understand.
anyway.. I am not going to rant anymore - although expect this occaisionally until school starts.. :p
